YAY, it’s Sunday! The day of the week I write for sixteen straight minutes, based on subjects I think of at this split second. Why sixteen minutes? No idea, but it seems like a good amount of time to write. I currently have a deep cleansing mask plastered all over my face since my skin needs rejuvenating after working 53 hours this week. Phew. Since working for the Olympics, all the days of the week have merged into one. Instead of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, there’s day one, day two, day three…etc. Even though I have massive bags under my eyes and I slur my speech due to lack of sleep, my internship is going very well! I run around to all the edit suites and make sure everyone has what they need. The best part is sitting in the production studio and watching sports-anchors Michael Landsberg and Kate Beirness report updates on the Olympic Games. They’re such naturals in front of the camera, plus great journalists to look up to. They work extremely hard to research and prepare for the day …
Canada – Hudson’s Bay Company Kept very simple. Love the zip-up sweaters, but not so hot on the beige khakis. However, the entirety of the uniform still works because I’m biased and love Canada and all our athletes – they can be dressed in garbage bags and I’d still love ’em. Great Britain – Stella McCartney Keeping it classy in black. Love it. USA – Ralph Lauren This honestly can’t get any more American. From their military inspired hats to their Ralph Lauren logo on their jackets. All they need is a piece of apple pie in their hand and they’re good to go. Australia – Sportscraft I really just like their white shoes with the black laces. South Korea – Fila AHOY MATEY! I love everything about their uniform. Clean-cut, sophisticated, and definitely trendy.
1. Alexander McQueen Creative director Sarah Burton has done a flawless job the past few years, always loved the creativity, innovation, and story-telling within the designs of McQueen. 2. Pink Tartan I’ve been to a couple of her shows at Toronto Fashion week and Kim Newport Mimran continutes to impress me. Classic with an interesting twist. 3. Christian Dior Without a doubt, no one can compare to a Dior gown. Absolutely stunning. 4. Erdem Moralioglu Dresses meant for a princess. Seriously, he dresses Kate Middleton. 5. Vera Wang Always had a thing for Vera, her designs continue to be inspiring. She’s also my future wedding dress designer.
Practical and fashionable? Perfect. This two-in-one necklace and bubble blower is a little pricey ($65), but it’s definitely something original and fun! Click on Parliament of Two for more! 🙂 XO Jessica
One fierce pony. Actually, as freaky and weird as Karl looks as a “My Little Pony,” I’ll say I’m buying it for my child – but I’d keep it for myself. “My Little Karl, My Little Karllll….” You have to admit, these were the best commercials when you were little. Prepare to have the theme song stuck in your head all day. You’re welcome.
Katie and I took a road trip to Cobourg Beach today! Magazines + watermelon + country music + gossip + sunshine = PERFECTION! As per usual, a wonderful day with the best friend! 🙂 We also saw Katy Perry: Part Of Me and…um…I’ve never cried in a movie theatre before – so why did it take the KATY PERRY movie to make me bawl?! I had pretty low expectations for the movie in general, but it was surprisingly WAY more entertaining and showed a side of Katy (as cliche as this sounds) I’ve never seen before. A vulnerable side. The part when she was about to go on stage and she started to break down because she was starting to miss Russell (who she probably hasn’t seen in weeks), so her friend handed her a necklace Russell gave her and she put it on.. ok that sounds lame, but if you’ve seen the movie, you’ll know how depressing that scene was. WAH, it makes me sad thinking about it. I’d be one of the first to admit – I’d see …
“You ate the whole…wheel of cheese? How’d you do that? Heck, I’m not even mad; that’s amazing.” – Ron Burgundy
1. Hot-cups on an airplane are always a good idea. Especially when you look this good. 2. Aloe is your best friend. Or else… 3. Never leave valuables outside your hotel room. Anything and everything you don’t keep your eye on, will get likely get stolen. This means not leaving your bathing suit outside to dry. Right Kyle? On a happier note, look how nice our room was! 4. Always leave tips for the maid. She may not leave you with clean sheets or towels but who can stay mad when she surprises you with an entire bottle of rum on your bed. 5. Never dance-dare a brides groom at a club. She and her mother will not like it. 6. Don’t eat the cheese. Unless you want a date with the toilet that night. This was the food I tried to stick with every day. Mmm, that mango was SO good! 7. Two extra-strong Gravols in the middle of the day are never a good idea. No matter how sick you feel those pink little pills will …

Safe and sound and sun-burnt! More photos and stories to come. But first, SLEEP! XO Jessica
