I Haven’t Packed A Model Bag In A Very Long Time

Hey everyone! Excuse any spelling mistakes, these are my nails right now… Completed nails will be done tomorrow! I’ll be modeling at the ABA show in Toronto and I’m sooo excited! I was thinking of what to pack and thought I’d share with you what I bring when I do a gig. Ten essentials for my modeling bag: 1. A very large tote – to carry all your essentials, duh! 2. iPod/ iPhone / charger – you dont want to be caught with a dead phone, especially on long days. 3. Water / snacks – usually it’s provided for you, but when it reaches 3 p.m. you’ll want an energy boost (i.e. granola bar or mini carrots). Remember to drink lots of water to stay hydrated and to keep your skin lookng great! 4. Slippers – I bring slippers to EVERY modeling event. I like being comfy and for my feet to rest from wearing six inch heels when I have down time. 5. Books / Magazines – there’s always a lot of waiting involved, so keep …

Feeling nosey? Take a look at what I carry in my bag everyday! 🙂 My leather tote with the cute gold detailing is from Guess. My lovely boyfriend gave it to me as a birthday present! I love that it has a lot of storage space and it has choice of a long or short strap. It’s also the perfect size, not too big, not too small. I always carry the current book I’m reading. At the moment I’m reading the final book of the Harry Potter series (can you believe I’ve never read them as a kid?). Also, I keep a pen and paper with me at all times, just in case I need to jot down an idea, directions or contact information on the go. Gum is a purse essential. No one likes staaaaanky breath after lunch! I always chew half a piece at a time (I don’t know why I do that, I just always have). Drive Me To A Desert

Today it felt like someone drove me to a desert, pushed me out of the car and just drove away. No place to go, no one to meet and nothing to look forward to. I felt no sense of direction, no guidance and no solid ground to claim my own. Actually, I didn’t just feel like this today. I’ve felt like this every day for about a month. In January I talked about how I want to travel for a year. I want to EXPERIENCE life. See things that will startle me, feel things I’ve never felt before…yadda yadda yadda… I thought this whole “experience life and travel” thing was just a phase and that I’ll get over it and be normal again. I haven’t. In an unhealthy way, it’s been affecting me. I feel angry, jealous, upset. I feel trapped, confused, heartbroken. I wake up and look forward to working with the best magazine and greatest team I’ve ever been apart of! I’m learning a boatload and having so much fun at the same time! It’s a place where I feel accepted and if I want to wear a weirdly printed blouse or floral skirt, I won’t be looked at as a freak, heh heh. Short life update

Hey everyone! I know I haven’t written about what’s going on in my life in awhile. I’ve been so busy and honestly, since December, I’m trying to put myself into a daily routine. If I’m not at my internship or working at the restaurant, I’m making videos or trying to remember to eat and sleep. Once I get into the habit of everything, I’ll be writing a lot more. Also, I’ve been conflicted with other life decisions. I’m at a point where I want to travel somewhere for a large amount of time or do something I couldn’t do if I had a full-time career. If I don’t make that “big life adventure” decision within the next year, it won’t happen. Does anyone else feel that pressure? I’m conflicted because I want to be a career woman and have a great job I’m passionate about, but, I also want to travel and do my own thing for a year. I feel like if I travel, I’m going to be behind in my “career” compared to my friends who …

It’s never a dull moment when the four of us get together. It only happens twice a year so we always make the best of it. Yes, we may be a tad bit dysfunctional and crazy, but as much as we annoy each other, we truly do love each other to pieces. That’s how all true friendships last, right? 🙂
