I NEED THESE! Holy I’m in love and I don’t care how weird you think I am.
For the skull shirt (Alexander McQueen), I would do unspeakable things to own. The astronaut t-shirt (Topshop) is just so fun and would look great with red jeans, a leather jacket and military boots. Love them. I feel like I’m going to be into graphic tees come spring time.
Word on the street is Oscar del la Renta is giving John Galliano a second chance after he fled the fashion scene due to public racial slurs. Everyone (including stores who stripped his designs off their shelves) was against Galliano, and while I agree what he did was terrible, he has apologized countless times and did go to rehab for his alcoholism. I’m not saying you should forgive him right away, but understand his lifestyle and support someone who has admitted they were wrong. I truly believe Galliano should be accepted back into the industry. Of course, he’s going to have to work three times as hard as he did before, but he’ll work hard on his comeback and it’s going to be front page news when he does.
de la Renta is opening a NYC design studio to Galliano, which would be the first time someone in the fashion world has accepted his work since the incident. I believe in Galliano. Everyone makes mistakes, we’re human after all.
Do you think de la Renta was smart for giving him a second chance?
Hey everyone!
I know I haven’t written about what’s going on in my life in awhile. I’ve been so busy and honestly, since December, I’m trying to put myself into a daily routine. If I’m not at my internship or working at the restaurant, I’m making videos or trying to remember to eat and sleep. Once I get into the habit of everything, I’ll be writing a lot more.
Also, I’ve been conflicted with other life decisions. I’m at a point where I want to travel somewhere for a large amount of time or do something I couldn’t do if I had a full-time career. If I don’t make that “big life adventure” decision within the next year, it won’t happen. Does anyone else feel that pressure? I’m conflicted because I want to be a career woman and have a great job I’m passionate about, but, I also want to travel and do my own thing for a year. I feel like if I travel, I’m going to be behind in my “career” compared to my friends who will have careers with benefits at this point. I know everyone has their own path, but I have yet to figure mine out. I’m sort of playing it by ear. That’s the downside (and I guess upside) of being in your early 20’s. You have nothing figured out and you have to go on that “journey” of self-discovery to figure out what makes you happy. That’s sound like a cheesy Hollywood movie, but you get what I mean.

Hey all!
Let me just first off say that Order of the Phoenix had the most intense ending of all time. I had to re-read the last few pages because I wanted to fully understand what was happening. I was literally sweating during the final battle because so much happened all at once! I was immediately struck and caught off guard when one my favourite characters, Sirius Black, was killed. HE WAS THE LAST BIT OF FAMILY HARRY HAD WHO UNDERSTOOD AND CARED FOR HIM! UGH! WHY VOLDEMORT, WHY!
Does anyone else feel a little scared saying Voldemort’s name out loud? Just me? Ok.
Even though in the end I felt sorry for Harry, I truly loved the way J.K. Rowling put emphasis on human emotion and recovery. There was a quote Dumbledore said after Harry told him how angry and upset he was after his godfather, Sirius, had died:
“The fact that you can feel pain like this is your greatest strength…suffering like this proves you are still a man! This pain is part of being human.”
It reminded me of why everyone is still unhealthily obsessed with this series. If there are common themes everyone can relate to, it’s life and death. Anyone can relate to Harry in one way or another. Whether someone you loved has died, you had to make friends in a new environment, felt like an outcast or if you needed to step up and be brave for other people – there is a little Harry Potter in all of us (cheesy, but true). That is what makes this book (and series) relatable, exciting and comforting.
Anyway, now I’m on to the sixth book, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince! I was told that it gets a whole lot darker. Yikes!
P.s. Order of the Phoenix was an amazing movie! I watched it after I read the book and it portrayed the book wonderfully! Don’t you agree?

Snakes and Lattes (board game cafe) on Bloor St. West. A five minute walk from Bathurst Station.
It’s only $5 for unlimited game play and you can stay for however long you want. They have HUNDREDS of games to choose from and board game experts to teach you and recommend new games! If you go, I recommend playing Cards Against Humanity (funniest card game ever) and ordering the Peppermint Latte (DELICIOUS). It’s a great spot to get away from the cold and have some fun with your friends! However, they fill up quick so I recommend booking your spot ahead of time to avoid a long waiting list.

“Wearing black on New Year’s Eve is a bit like wearing a tasteful sheath to Mardi Gras. Why? You have free rein to go full glam, so work it.”

Take A Walk – Passion Pit
But off the boat they stayed a while and
Scattered across the coast
Once a year I’ll see them for a week or so at most
I took a walk
Take a walk, take a walk, take a walk
Take a walk, oh-oh-oh
