I think there is beauty…

Dancing On My Own – Robyn (Buzz Junkies Club Mix) I’m in the corner, watching you kiss her I’m giving it my all, but I’m not the girl you’re taking home I keep dancing on my own
I can’t believe it. My last UTSC soccer game and I not only scored twice, but my team won the CHAMPIONSHIPS! It’s an unreal, bittersweet feeling. The game ended with the final score of 3-1. We played against our rivals UTM and throughout the entire game I couldn’t stop pacing. My adrenaline was rushing, heart was pumping, and palms were sweating because I didn’t want my last soccer game at UTSC to be a disappointment. During the game, there seemed to be an abundance of pushing, shoving, fouls, penalty kicks, and a few curse words being thrown every now and again. Even though my body was aching from an all-day hockey tournament the day before, I was determined to not leave the field until I was wheezing and on the verge of fainting. We go hard in Scarborough. If this team has taught me anything throughout the past four years, it’s determination, tenacity, and knowing you’re never alone – on or off the field. I can’t even begin to explain the friendships I’ve developed on this team. Whether these girls calmed me down on the field, …
Just 22 more days.
My unicycle and I never fail to amaze people. Now, it seems it never fails me in school either. I knew this useless talent would come in handy one day!
Is this real life?
You can already feel the chill of winter whisking through the city. Breathe in that smell of frost and feel the cold air rush down your lungs and chill your entire body. Brr, I’m cold just thinking about it. With winter around the corner, I look forward to something a little more steamy this time of year. That being said, I would like to announce… SECOND CUP HAS THEIR WINTER MENU OUT! * HAPPY DANCE * Here are a few I’ll be trying this season! Let me know your favourites below! 🙂 Candy Cane Latte – “A delicious and refreshing hint of candy cane flavour, coupled with espresso and white chocolate notes.” Toasted Marshmallow Latte – “Perfectly pulled espresso and hand crafted microfoam meld marvellously with the sweetness of a marshmallow toasted to golden. Topped off with a cloud of toasted marshmallow flavoured whipped cream and our own butter-graham sugar sprinkles.” Holiday London Fog Tea – “Warm and soothing, a beautiful combination of black tea and microfoam with a hint of citrus and cherry.” Noel Nog – …
Hey everyone! I’m currently reading the fifth book of the Harry Potter series (Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix). I’ve never read the series as a child, so I’m catching up on all the hype. Better late than never. I’ve obviously already read Philosopher’s Stone, Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban and Goblet of Fire. Prisoner of Azkaban is my favourite thus far. There were more adventures at Hogwarts, the plot had twists and turns with every chapter and you had more of an understanding of Harry Potter’s history with the introduction of the “real” Sirius Black. Having never read the books nor seen the last couple movies, I actually have NO idea what happens in the end. When someone mentions anything about the last book or movie, I immediately cover my ears (it’s happened on a few occasions). I’ll let you know how I like it when I finish! 🙂 What’s your favourite book in the series? Remember, don’t tell me ANYTHING that happens…or else…I’ll turn you into a toad. XO Jessica
Peace Sign – Lights The acoustic versions of her songs give me goosebumps! I saw her in Montreal last year and she truly knows how to put on an amazing show!
BEAUTIFUL! This entire collection makes me smile. Flawless Vera.
I get it. Christmas isn’t for a month and a half, but I prepared my list for my family and friends to see, just incase they were wondering what lovely, materialistic things I want for the holidays. 😉 1. Headphones Whether I’m at school, reading or walking down the street, I have my I-Pod playing pretty much all day. I hate the little earbuds that come with your I-Pod. They keep falling from my ears and they break SO easily. I swear I’ve been through at least six of them within this past year. These ones are Beats By Dre, but any earphones that resemble this in any colour will be perfect! 2. Bedsheets I’ve had the same ones since high school. Time to be a grown up. I LOVE these ones from Urban Outfitters! Black and white patterns (like the photo below) are my favourite. 3. Clothes Rack ($12) I’ve wanted one for years, and I have no idea why I haven’t just gone out and got it for myself. Regardless, this one is …
Mom: I’m 50, I don’t care what people think of me. You young people care but us seniors, we don’t. The only thing we care about is being able to breathe.
