DIY EGG WHITE FACE MASK

Remove blackheads with this peel-off mask containing ingredients found right at home! Blackheads are dark spots found on your skin that form when skin produces sebum. Sebum is a natural lubricant for your skin and hair to prevent both from drying out. If you have naturally oily skin, you typically have larger pores, so when sebum moves up to the surface of your skin, air enters. Sebum contains melanin, which turns dark when exposed to open air, aka your blackhead. Blackheads are NOT dirt and scrubbing does NOT remove them. What does? You can try pore strips for your nose, but some of us (like myself) have blackheads on our cheeks and forehead. When I tried this egg white mask, it was a total game changer on the overall complexion and feel of my skin. This egg white mask will help reduce sebum and tighten pores, which will also help with the elasticity of your skin and slow down the wrinkle process. I also like to squirt a bit of lemon juice in the mix …

DIY: Pimped out collar

What you’ll need: – Blouse with a collar – Blank C-D’s – Hot glue gun – Scissors – Boiling water 1. Boil water. 2. Pour water into a pan and submerge the C-D’s for 5 minutes. This will help with splitting the layers apart. 3. Let dry. 4. Cut C-D’s in half. 5. Split the layer of the C-D’s since you only need the shiny half. 6. Cut into tiny pieces. 7. Place the pieces on the collar, then hot glue them into place. Tweet me your photos (@Jessica_Moy) if you try it out, I’d love to see what you come up with!

DIY: Vanilla & Brown Sugar Lip Scrub

With winter weather slowly creeping upon us *shudder* prepare your lips with a homemade scrub! Perfect to apply before you swipe on your lipstick to get rid of any dry flakes. Add brown sugar, honey, a drop of vanilla and olive oil into a container and stir. VOILA! All natural and it REALLY works (even better than the $10 LUSH products).  Apply to your lips and rub for 15 seconds. Afterwards, wipe off with water and apply your favourite lip balm. Result: smooooooth lips that smell delicious! 🙂

Everyone loves a good stud – D.I.Y

I did it. I went stud crazy. Pants, shoes, shorts…you name it, I put a stud on it. They’re easy to put on, you pin them – no need for glue or sewing. They’re cheap, any fabric store you can get 100 studs for $20. Compared to the $75 pair of studded shorts you can get at Urban Outfitters, it’s a pretty good deal. These are an old pair of J. Crew skinny’s! I put the studs right above the pocket to spruce up the look! Put a couple of them on ankle booties, definitely a big change! No longer plain and drab! My favourite! Right on the back pocket! Side note, it doesn’t hurt when I sit. What do you guys think? A timeless fall trend if you ask me. XO Jessica

TURNING OLD JEANS INTO TRENDY SHORTS

Take an old pair of wide legged jeans. Don’t use skinny jeans, they make it look like you’re wearing spandex. Cut your desired length. Make sure you go diagonal, like below! Grab some paint! I’m using colours such as blue, black, white, red, and purple! Start going to town! Smudge the paint EVERYWHERE. Mixing the colours together is ideal. Make sure you get the back! I distressed mine at the front. Make sure you have cardboard or a magazine underneath so you don’t put holes on the other side of the shorts. After that, you’re done! 🙂
