Today marks a day in history…

I can say with certain that on August 19th 2013, I had the best day of my entire life. While you’ll expect an extravagant story like Ryan Gosling asking me to marry him or winning the lottery, it was actually about simple pleasures. My morning started with taking the subway (which is super complicated in NYC, but I figured it out in one shot) to Kinokuniya and browsed through the bookstore for about an hour. I absolutely loved it! It has (among other things) unique fashion/beauty books and Japanese magazines. The magazine I bought called “Baila” included a free Kate Spade lipstick holder. Umm, yes please. After being on a high from browsing hundreds of books, I bought a few for myself and walked a block to get sushi (favourite food of all time). I then headed to Bryant park. The sun was shining through the trees and a soft breeze filled the NYC air. It was such a beautiful summer day. I walked though the park, which didn’t have many people around since it …

Top 10 Things I Learned In British Columbia

1. I’m obsessed with the seafood Every meal I ordered had some sort of swimming fish creature in it. The salmon was the best (unless it was candied salmon, gross). 2. Always choose the dirty clubs If you have a choice to go to a sophisticated club or a dirty one. Always pick the dirty one. You are guaranteed to have WAY more fun. 3. Planking will always be funny Especially over dangerous bridges and water edges. 4. The Capilano Suspension Bridge is not as scary to cross as I thought it would be If you go to Vancouver and don’t cross this bridge, what are you doing with your life. 5. I’M NEVER GOING SURFING AGAIN Unless there is a lifeguard to save me from riptides and where I won’t be eaten by sharks and stung by jellyfish. My worst fear of deep water and getting lost out at sea almost came true. Fun while it lasted though. 6. Appreciate natural beauty you don’t normally see everyday This includes cute waterfalls, abnormally large trees and extremely tall mountains …

TOP 10 THINGS I LEARNED WHILE IN CUBA

1. Hot-cups on an airplane are always a good idea.  Especially when you look this good. 2. Aloe is your best friend. Or else… 3. Never leave valuables outside your hotel room.  Anything and everything you don’t keep your eye on, will get likely get stolen. This means not leaving your bathing suit outside to dry. Right Kyle? On a happier note, look how nice our room was! 4. Always leave tips for the maid. She may not leave you with clean sheets or towels but who can stay mad when she surprises you with an entire bottle of rum on your bed. 5. Never dance-dare a brides groom at a club. She and her mother will not like it. 6. Don’t eat the cheese. Unless you want a date with the toilet that night. This was the food I tried to stick with every day. Mmm, that mango was SO good! 7. Two extra-strong Gravols in the middle of the day are never a good idea.  No matter how sick you feel those pink little pills will …

Gregory Gorgeous: Traveling must haves and airport drama

Nothing excites me more than going on YouTube and finding Gregory Gorgeous has posted a new video! Love him! “Honestly, every time that seat belt sign DINGS on and they’re like, ‘go back to your seats there’s a little bit of turbulence,’ I brace myself for death, i’m like, we’re gonna go down, we’re probably gonna go down, are we over water right now? Because we’re probably gonna do down in the water and i’m gonna drown.” – Gregory Gorgeous
