McQueen & Topshop T-shirts

I NEED THESE! Holy I’m in love and I don’t care how weird you think I am. For the skull shirt (Alexander McQueen), I would do unspeakable things to own. The astronaut t-shirt (Topshop) is just so fun and would look great with red jeans, a leather jacket and military boots. Love them. I feel like I’m going to be into graphic tees come spring time.

John Galliano Does Deserve a Second Chance

Word on the street is Oscar del la Renta is giving John Galliano a second chance after he fled the fashion scene due to public racial slurs. Everyone (including stores who stripped his designs off their shelves) was against Galliano, and while I agree what he did was terrible, he has apologized countless times and did go to rehab for his alcoholism. I’m not saying you should forgive him right away, but understand his lifestyle and support someone who has admitted they were wrong. I truly believe Galliano should be accepted back into the industry. Of course, he’s going to have to work three times as hard as he did before, but he’ll work hard on his comeback and it’s going to be front page news when he does. de la Renta is opening a NYC design studio to Galliano, which would be the first time someone in the fashion world has accepted his work since the incident. I believe in Galliano. Everyone makes mistakes, we’re human after all. Do you think de la Renta was smart …

Is there such thing as too big?

These over-sized hobo bags from Patkas can literally fit all my hockey equipment and maybe a snack or two. I can understand their use for days when you need to fit everything in one bag (obviously), but they seem a little silly to carry around on an everyday basis. Your shoulder would break! Plus, when you’re looking for something you’re basically reaching into Narnia. How will you ever be able to find anything?   $28.59 $224.63

Miggins

I LIKE THESE BOOTIES TOO! UGH! WHICH ONE TO CHOOSE?! These ones are on sale and I feel like I’d get more wear out of them. But the other ones are SO HOT! Decide for me? On sale for $69.99 The Miggins   OR $140.00 The Rosienne

Brandy & Aldo cravings

I love this shirt and wanted to share it with you guys! It’s Brandy Melville’s “I Love You To The Moon And Back Tank” – what do you think? $25.00 Also, I’ve been eyeing these kind of shoes for a while now. They’re suede lace up booties. Buy? Or not buy? If you own these types of shoes, tell me in the comments what they think, worth the money? These ones are from Aldo (5 inches high). I feel like they’d go with EVERYTHING! But, will I wear them enough to get my moneys worth? $140.00

The perfect little black dress

Raf Simons (creative director for Christian Dior) showed his first RTW collection for Spring 2013! You can definitely notice the mingle between classic Dior cuts and today’s leading trends. Stunning! The first dress is my favourite – it shows the right amount of skin, and judging by the blowy skirt and loose sleeves, it seems super comfortable to wear. Stylish and comfortable? Perrrrrrrfect.

A lot of BUZZ for McQueen’s Spring 2013 RTW

Seriously. Sarah Burton is the queen bee. I had to take a second look. Thought the black “honeycomb” inspired  knee-high’s were some form of hosiery. Wrong. They are boots. Mind blown? Mine was. THOSE GOLD SHORTS! OH MY GOODNESS! WANT! Classic McQueen clutch. Perfect. Wonderful little (or large) beehive number! Not sure if the skirts are necessarily RTW, but gosh darn it they are amazing! Also, what did I think the showstopper was? The chunky necklaces. They completed all the outfits perfectly throughout the collection.

Everyone loves a good stud – D.I.Y

I did it. I went stud crazy. Pants, shoes, shorts…you name it, I put a stud on it. They’re easy to put on, you pin them – no need for glue or sewing. They’re cheap, any fabric store you can get 100 studs for $20. Compared to the $75 pair of studded shorts you can get at Urban Outfitters, it’s a pretty good deal. These are an old pair of J. Crew skinny’s! I put the studs right above the pocket to spruce up the look! Put a couple of them on ankle booties, definitely a big change! No longer plain and drab! My favourite! Right on the back pocket! Side note, it doesn’t hurt when I sit. What do you guys think? A timeless fall trend if you ask me. XO Jessica
